In the year that is past, six new vessels, measuring 577 tons, were added to the register at Charlottetown, and four vessels, measuring 241 tons, were transferred to it from other ports as follows:

May 23, Dredge, M. J. Butler, built at River John, N.S., 459 tons, owned by Michael J. Haney, Toronto, Ontario.

July 4, schooner, Lizzie Catherine, built at Red Islands, C. B., 99 tons, owner, Ronald Campbell, of Summerside, P. E. I.

July 3, schooner, Garland, Petit River, N. S., 51 tons, owner, John E. P. Aylward, of Southport, P. E. I.

July 7, schooner Bella Rose, Bayfield, P. E. I., 21 tons, owner, Matthew Rose, of Bayfield, P. E. I..

July 18, Naptha (?) Launch, Dolphin, Charlottetown, P. E. I.,7 tons, owner, Edward Skerry, of Charlottetown, P. E. I..

July 25, Gasoline Launch, R-tis-3, Charlottetown, 3 tons, owner, Henry H. Crossman, Charlottetown, P. E. I.

October 6, schooner Venture, Port Piswick, N. S., 43 tons, owner, Augustine McInnis,of Earnscliffe, P. E. I.

October 9, schooner Florence, Rusticoville, P. E. I., 74 tons, owner, Joseph Gallant, of Rusticoville, P. E. I.

October 10, schooner Mayflower, West Point, P. E. I.,13 tons, owner, Alexander McDonald, of Summerside, P. E. I.

November 7, schooner Britannia, Shelburne, N. S., 48 tons, owner, George Bannerman Ellis, of Alberton, P. E. I.

Four vessels measuring 315 tons were wrecked, and six vessels measuring 407 tons were broken up. There were sold and transferred to other ports, three vessels measuring 453 tons. So that the total shipping on the Prince Edward Island Registry on the 31st day of December, 1905, was 158 vessels, measuring 11, 924 tons, net, as follows:B

2 barques, measuring 1823 tons

4 barkentines, 1568 tons

2 brigantines, 360 tons

133 schooners, 6538 tons

1 sloop, 20 tons

13 steamers, 1146 tons

1 dredge, 459 tons

2 naptha and gasoline launches 10 tons
