Footnotes:
(a) Some of this information was made available with the generous assistance of Mr. Dan MacDonald (brikwall@nbnet.nb.ca).
(b) Certain family members spelled their surname "Elexander". This may have been the "old world" spelling and this practice has fallen into disuse. Discoveries in late 2008 through the use of DNA Genealogy suggest the correct spelling is indeed "Alexander" and that the family line can be genetically traced to Northern Ireland. DNA evidence is also emerging that Kintyre, Scotland, the ancestral home of Clan Alexander, may indeed be the ultimate place of origin of this branch of the clan.
(c) Later generational information is omitted to respect the privacy of family members.
(d) All data presented herein is available from public domain sources.
(e) John McNeil, father of Mary Ann McNeil, is the son of Murdock McNeil and Ann MacNeill. Murdock does not yet appear in any posted Island Register genealogies.

The land is now owned by the municipality and serves as public grazing land. The farmhouse has been demolished, but the separate land mass that contained the farmhouse, barn, and out buildings of approximately 1 Ĺ acres in size still exists containing three apple trees of some 130 years of age.
