The Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead was Sir Andrew's home, located in Orwell at the juncture of the North and South branches of the Orwell River. "The Friends of Macphail", a group of volunteers was formed to restore the Homestead and its grounds, and on January 11, 1990 they were incorporated to form the "Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation of Orwell, P.E.I., Inc.".

Our dining room serves delightful lunches and afternoon tea. Hearty, locally-grown, homestyle dinners are served Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Our 2008 hours of operation are Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun 11.00 am - 7.30 pm, Thu 11.00 am - 4.30 pm. Mon and Tue - Closed.
