The Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead was Sir Andrew's home, located in Orwell at the juncture of the North and South branches of the Orwell River. "The Friends of Macphail", a group of volunteers was formed to restore the Homestead and its grounds, and on January 11, 1990 they were incorporated to form the "Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation of Orwell, P.E.I., Inc.".

Our dining room serves delightful lunches and afternoon tea.

The Macphail Homestead is open for the season from the last week of June to the first week or October. Hours of Operation during the summer season are: Monday - Sunday: 11:00 am - 4:30 pm Open evenings for special events and by request.

New for 2009 is a monthly three-course dinner prepared by Chef Raffaele Virdo, bringing Prince Edward Island seasonal products to the forefront. Enjoy dining in the beautiful and warm surroundings of the Macphail Homestead. $40 (not including beverage). Call for reservations.
