Conveyance of Land in Georgetown from Richard Wisner (1774 - 1858) to William Bearisto Aitken

This indenture made the twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two Between Richard Wisner and Elizabeth Wisner the wife of the said Richard Wisner of Lot F??ty-nine of the one part and William Bearisto Aitken of Lot Fifty-nine Three Rivers of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of Sum of (illegible) pounds currency of Prince Edward Island to the said Richard Wisner in hand paid by the said William Bearisto Aitken at and before the ensealing and delivery of their presents the accepted payment which the said Richard Wisner doth hereby acknowledge. And in the consideration of the further sum of five shillings of like money to the said Elizabeth Wisner in hand paid by the said W. B. Aitken at or before the ensealing and delivery of the presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. They the said Richard Wisner and Elizabeth his wife have granted, bargained, sold, aliened enf???ed, and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, and confirm unto the said William Bearisto Aitken, his heirs and assigns forever all that piece or parcel ground Lot No (3) Three in the second range latter as laid down in a certain map of Georgetown in the said Island of Prince Edward among the Town Lots the same containing in length 120 feet and in breadth 84 ft or thereabouts lying and being in Georgetown aforesaid and all that other piece or parcel of land Lot No (4) Four as appears laid down in the said map herein mentioned among the pasture Lots containing eight acres by the same more of less with all manner of mines unopened, excepting mines of gold, silver, lead, copper and coals to have and to hold the several or two pieces or parcels of ground with all privileges, profits, commodities & appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said W. B. Aitken his heirs and assigns for use yielding and paying by the said W. B. Aitken his heirs and assigns which by the acceptation hereof he binds himself his heirs and assigns to pay to His Majesty King William the Fourth his heirs and Successors or to any person lawfully authorized to receive the same for His Majesty’s use a yearly quit rent of one penny for each and every foot that the front of the said Lot No (3) in said second range latter or shall contain and also a further quit rent of three pence per acre for each and every acre the said lot No 4 shall contain as reserved in and by the original Grant bearing date the 2nd day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight from Edmund Fanning L.L.D. Lieut. Governor & Commander in Chief in and over His Majesty’s Island of Saint John and the Territory thereunto, adjacent, &, &,& to Leonard Wisner the Father of the said Richard Wisner. In witness whereof, we have hereunto affixed our Hands and Seals the day and year first above written.
