His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor has been pleased to appoint the following Persons to enquire into and ascertain the number of Persons residing within the several Townships, Towns Royalties and Commons in the Island, and to obtain statistical information, in the terms of the Act, passed in the last session of the Colonial Legislature, intituled, "An Act to enable the Government to ascertain the Population of this Colony and to obtain other statistical information therein mentioned."
