In response to the request of a correspondent of THE EXAMINER, we publish the following Government returns, copy of which has been forwarded by Hon. Mr. Ross, of Mount Stewart: -

BLACK RIVER BRIDGE

Department of Public Works, April 23, 1892.

Black River Bridge, Lot 33 - the only return in the offices from Mr. Donald Crockett, Supervisor, on account of Black River Bridge, is as follows, viz :

CLARKE'S MILL BRIDGE

Department of Public Works, April 23, 1892.

Statement of the amounts paid on account of Clarke's Mill Bridge, Lot 37.

The above bridge was returned as sold to John Lafferty for $180 by the Supervisor, William Smallman, and approved by C. P. Works, on Sept, 28, 1892.

Sept. 2, 1891 - Patrick McKinnon, approach to Clarke's Bridge, Supervisor's order

Sept. 23 - John Lafferty, on account of his contract

Oct. 17 - ditto ditto ditto

Oct. 31 - Haviland Clarke, repairs to Clarke's Bridge, Superintendent's order.
