It is our sad duty to inform you of the death of Carol MacKenzie, one of the Register's long term users and supporters. Carol was the author of the "Mac" Book, a history of the William MacLaren of Cable Head; the Thomas and Lucinda MacKenzie, John and Isabella Jardine, and Matheson family files on the Register, and submitter of the Rev. Robert Douglas, Roderick MacNeill, Galien MacNeill, and Elisha Morrow wills on the Register's Will Database.

Carol had been awaiting a hoped-for double lung transplant this past year.

"MACKENZIE, Carol Ann � The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on March 22, 2002, of Carol Ann MacKenzie (nee MacDonald) of 15 Donwood Dr., Charlottetown, age 55 years. Dear wife of Gordon MacKenzie. Funeral mass from St. Peters Bay Roman Catholic Church on Monday, March 25, at 10 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell."

I would like to pass along our greatest condolences to Carol's family. She was a remarkable lady.
