Charlottetown 24th August 1863 (Posted same day)

Addressed to Hon. D. Beaton, Souris

Sir,

I am in receipt of a letter of date 18 inst from William Miller of Halifax Complaining that he holds a judgt. of some 100 pounds N.S. against you long over due and instructing me at the same time to enforce the same thro our own courts at once. Please let me hear from you concerning this matter by return mail. I shall await your answer before carrying out my instructions.
