Notes: Mary Morgan is the daughter of Arthur Morgan and Margaret Davidson married in Slains June 22, 1844.. Mary was born in 1846. Arthur born October 1823 at Longside is the son of William Morgan born abt 1781 died Feb 17, 1857 in Collieston, Slain Parish, Aberdeen Sct. and Barbara Ross.

Arthur Morgan�s siblings are: Barbara b 1808, George b 1810, John b 1812, Sarah b 1818, William b 1821, Janet b 1826, Thomas b 1828 and Elizabeth b 1831. William is the son of George Morgan and Margaret Logan.

William Morgan (Arthur�s father) is the son of George Morgan and Margaret Logan. William�s siblings include:

Marriage certificate of Mary and Alexander lists their parents.

Source: 1901 Canadian Census of Ontario, District 131, York West shows Alex Mark and Mary Morgan living in Ontario and does not list year of emigration. However, the 1911 census shows us their son Arthur and says emigration was in 1885 making last son William born, in Canada and family stories true that he was the only child born in Canada of this couple.

Alexander died April 22, 1904 age of 66 and Mary died January 16, 1931 age of 85. They are buried in the Prospect Cemetery in Toronto, ON., Section 10, Lot/Grave 58. Buried in same lot with Alex and Mary are an Alexander E Mark and a Jessie E Hill. We believe this is Jessie, daughter married a Hill and Alex E is either our second Alex J with middle initial J being incorrect on census records or it is Elizabeth Alexandromina and cemetery erred on Genealogical Form. Next of kin listed on Mary�s death record is W. Mark, her son William. Funeral parlor up to 1957 was York Bros. and then became Turner and Porter. Service for Mary was provided by Rev. M. McKay, Davenport Church.

5. Arthur Mark born March 1, 1880 at Glasgow, Scotland married Susie Margaret Daw(e) on September 12, 1903 in Toronto. Margaret was born November 19, 1880 in Newfoundland. Arthur died September 27, 1942. Susie went by the name of Margaret died June 24, 1957. She was born in November 19, 1880 in Sandy�s Cove, NFLD.

Arthur George Mark born November 20, 1907 married Muriel Irene Hamm on July 2, 1927

Susie Margaret Mark born November 16, 1901 married Fredrick Grant Draper on January 18, 1930.

*6 Donald Morgan Mark � (Don and Bop) was born October 8, 1911 in Toronto. Bop was a master mason. He married Christine Lillian Handicott on August 29, 1930. Donald died November 29, 1987. Christina (Chris and Nana) died October 6, 2002

Cyril Malcom Mark (Buster) born Toronto, Ontario April 27, 1916 remained unmarried

Gordon Mark born Toronto, Ontario May 1, 1918 married Blanche E Comestuia on March 9, 1940. She was born July 26, 1917.

Lloyd David Mark born Toronto, Ontario September 16 1921 died February 9, 1941 in Toronto @ age of 20 from Pulmonary tuberculosis. Buried in Prospect Cemetery in Toronto, ON(off St. Claire Ave., west) in same lot 453, section 23 as his parents.

Notes for #5 : 1911 Canadian Census of Ward 6, Toronto West, Ontario, District 128, Subdistrict 72 shows Arthur and Margaret and three of their children. It says Arthur emigrated around 1885 from Scotland. Margaret�s says she emigrated in 1894 or 1896 but this must mean from NFLD to ON. They are living at 198 Emerson Avenue.

Margaret (Susie) Dawe resided in Port de Grave, Port de Grave District, NFLD until she was 11 years old. Her family moved to Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of Soloman Daw and Elizabeth Jane Morgan . She died on June 24, 1957 @ age of 77and is buried in the Prospect Cemetary in Toronto. Cause of death is listed as Arterio Heart Disease. Next of kin is listed as Mrs. Margaret Draper, daughter.

Arthur was b. March 1, 1880 Glasgow Scotland and died September 27, 1942 @ the age of 62 in Toronto, ON. Next of kin listed as Mrs. S. Mark (Susie, wife), living at 95 Livingston Ave, Toronto, ON. Cause of death listed as Cardio Respiratory failure.

Buried with his wife; Section 23, Lot 453, Prospect Cemetery and Crematorium in Toronto. Arthur was a Master Mason in Ontario.

Notes for #6:.Christine is the daughter of Lily Eliza Caroline Radbourne and Sydney Handicott born Uxbridge England on March 13, 1912. Witnesses at the wedding of Donald and Christine Mark were Albert Harry Rose and Kathleen Handicott, Chris�s sister, our Auntie Kay. Donald, died on November 29, 1987 in Toronto, Ontario hospital and was cremated at the Innisvale Crematorium on December 4, 1987 with service provided by the Martin Funeral Home in Penetanguishene, Ont. Nana died on October 6, 2002 at the home of her youngest child (daughter) in Desable, PE and was interment in the same cemetery as Bop. Buried in Midland, ON. They have four children, 3 females and a male all born in Ontario, with one daughter, Frances who predeceased her mother.
