Search the Islanders in U.S. Services, WWI Database!

Note: This is a test database only. It is based upon the listing of Islanders in the U.S. Services during World War I who originated from P.E.I. listing from Bob Pierce that I put on in HTML format last week. This format will later be used to display future databases on the Island Register. Arsenault would be a good name to do a search on, as this is a small database (35 records, but the 35th is a header, so in actuality there are only 34 records of data), and in it, there are several Arsenaults. Also, you can do a search by entering a year - 1893, 1894 being good years with several individuals in the database having been born in those years. On a larger database, you would be able to see the advantages of having a powerful direct search even more, however, this one was chosen for the test as it was small and simpler to implement. Play with it, and have fun!
Enter Search Term:

Method:
 View entire Database

Search Methods:
  • Exact gives an exact search for your search phrase as entered (i.e. John Doe)
  • All allows a match on all of the search terms you enter (i.e. John and Doe)
  • Any allows a match on any of the search terms entered (i.e. John or Doe)
  • Searching by Year is also possible (i.e. enter search term of 1893)
  • Viewing the Entire Database is possible but not recommended with large
databases as load time resulting from excessively long pages may be prohibitive.
