The Will of Daniel Vessey (-1904, Montague)


LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Daniel Vessey of Montague in Township number 52 in Kings County in Prince Edward Island farmer.
I hereby revoke all former wills or other testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made, and declare this only to be and contain my Last Will and Testament. I direct all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, to be paid and satisfied by my executrix hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I bequeath to my wife Margaret Vessey all articles of personal domestic or household ornament and all stock and farming implements belonging to me which at my decease maybe on or about the premises hereinafter mentioned at the date of my decease, to hold such said personal property for and during the term of her natural life and after the decease of my said wife I bequeath the same to my son Frank Vessey absolutely.
I devise unto my wife Margaret Vessey the farm of land consisting of one hundred acres on which I reside at Montague Township number 52 aforesaid to hold the same for her own use during the term of her natural life, subject nevertheless to the charge and bequest hereinafter made in favor of my son Thomas Vessey, and after the decease of my said wife I devise the same to my son Frank Vessey and his heirs subject nevertheless of the following charge and bequest, that is to say.
I bequeath to my son Thomas Vessey his support and maintenance on the said farm devised as aforesaid so long as he, the said Thomas Vessey, shall live, and I direct that he shall live, and I direct that he shall be fed and clothed in a manner suitable to his station in life by my said wife during her natural life and after her death by my said son Frank Vessey his heirs executors administration or assigns. And I hereby declare that the support and maintenance of my said son Thomas Vessey as aforesaid, shall be, and the same is hereby made and constituted a lien and charge on the land and hereditaments herein before devised.
I hereby appoint my said Margaret Vessey sole executrix of this my Township Last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof, I Daniel Vessey, the testator, have hereunto set my hand this 6th day of June in this year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three.

PROVED
This Will was proved on the 26th day of September 1905 on the oath of George S. Inman Esquire on of the subscribing witnesses thereto before commissioner W. L. Poole Esquire and was filed and Registered on the 28th day of September 1905.
