Last Will and Testament of Benjamin Beck (1847-1923), Murray River, P.E.I.

Supreme Court of P.E.I. Will probated 3 Feb 1923.

I, Benjamin Beck of Murray River, in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in the manner and form following.

I give and bequeath my homestead property situate at White Sands in Kings County, to my wife Mary Beck, for her own use and benefit as long as she shall live, and at her death the above named property is to become the property of my daughter Lillian S. Beck of Roxbury Mass. for her absolute use and benefit.

I give and bequeath to my son, John J. Beck, my wood farm containing about seventy two acres of land situate on township number sixty-three in Kings County for his absolute use and benefit.

I hereby appoint C.L. Sencabaugh and John J. Beck, both of Murray River, as my executors for this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I hereunto place my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of December in the year one thousand nine hundred and twenty two. Signed by Benjamin Beck. Witnesses signed: C.L. Sencabaugh, and John A. McYen. The will was probated on 3 February 1923.

An inventory of his estate concluded that its total value was $955. It consisted of a plot of land with buildings, one cow, two sheep, 30 hens, carpenter's tools, household furniture and 72 acres of woodland.
