I Donald Dewar yeoman, Brudnell river Parish of St. Andrew and County of Kings in Prince Edward Island being resolved to settle my worldly affairs before my death, I hereby nominate and appoint my eldest Son John Dewar, my executor, bequeathing to him my property, real and moveables binding at my death to pay all my lawful debts and funeral expenses---and also to pay my surviving family the following Sums--Viz. To my wife the proceeds of one third of Eighty four acres of Land on Brudenell river during her life.-To my eldest Daughter Anne twenty pounds Currency.-To my daughter Margaret Dewar twenty pounds - These Sums bearing Interest thereon from ? -mas or Whitsunday after my death till paid- and to my daughter Jane Walker and her husband, Alexander Walker Saddler George town, ground on which to erect a house, But if he has no issue by my daughter Jane Dewar, the ground and house becomes the property of my son James Dewar failing him his eldest son, after the lapse of forty years from my death - The said Alexander Walker having issue by my daughter is to have the ground in perpetuity, and has to pay to my daughter Anne Dewar two pounds a year whilst unmarried but if she marries ten pounds in whole and also to pay my daughter Margt. Dewar five pounds - If my son John Dewar marries and has no male heirs the property is not to be alienated to his wife but descends to my son James or his eldest son, to remain in the name of Dewar. These presents are subscribed by me; as Witness my hand this seventh day of May one thousand Eight hundred and fifty-two in presence of these Witnesses
