Will of Joseph Bennet Creed

In the name of God Amen

The thirteenth day of February, one thousand and eight hundred and sixty-eight.

I Joseph Bennet Creed , Township No. 59, Kings County, Prince Edward Island retaining my memory unimpaired and calling to mind the mortality of my body; knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die ,do make and ordain this my last will and testament.

That is to say as touching such wordly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life.

I give, demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

First, I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved son James the sum of three pounds currency to be paid in five years from this date first when written;

And also that to my beloved daughter Mary the sum of Two Pounds currency to be paid in the frequency from the date first above written. And also that to my beloved wife Catherine receive a comfortable maintenance so long as she shall live.

The above to be paid from my estate, the remains of which including all cattle, chattels and movables.

I bequeath to my beloved son William whom I likewise constitute make or ordain my sole Executor of this my last will and testament.

And I do hereby utterly disclaim revoke and disannul all and every other former will and Testament Bequest legacies and Executors by me in any way before m----? named willed and bequeathed ratifying since confirming this and no other, to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written.
