Will of William Carpenter 25 March, 1847-28 Dec., 1928

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Carpenter of Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island. I revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions by me at any time made and declare this to be my last will. I direct my executors to pay my debts funeral and testamentary expences.

My single tenement house on Rochford Street in Charlottetown adjoining premises now occupied by Frank Stewart on the one side and adjoining my own corner property on the other side which house is now occupied by Henry Hays as my tenant I give to Ernest Crosby for life on condition that he pays the taxes on said property and keeps the building insured to the amount of its reasonable insurable value, the policy to be payable in case of fire to himself and St. Pauls Church. After his death the said property to be property of St. Pauls Church. All the rest residue and remainder of my property real and personal wheresoever situated I give to the Rector and Churchwardens of Saint Pauls Church in Charlottetown in fee simple absolutely for the uses and purposes of the said Church. And i appoint the Church- wardens of said Church in office at the time of my death to be the executors of this my will. Dated this 19th day of December 1827.

Signed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
