Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and [illeg.], Queen, Defender of the Faith, &c., &c.

Know all Men by these Presents, that I, Donald Ferguson "The Commissioner of Public Lands" for Prince Edward Island, under the authority of an act passed in the sixteenth year of the reign of her present Majesty Queen Victoria, instituted An act for the purchase of Lands on behalf of the Government of Prince Edward Island, and to regulate the sale and management thereof, and for other purposes therein mentioned , in consideration of the sum of

One hundred and Sixty Six Dollars and Forty cents

of lawful current money of the said Island, to me in hand paid by

Neil Shaw

of the lot or Township No. Twenty Nine (29) the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained, released, and confirmed, and by these presents Do grant, bargain, release and confirm, unto the said Neil Shaw

his heirs and assigns, All that tract, piece, or parcel of Land, situate, lying, and being on the Lot or Township Number Twenty Nine (29) bounded as follows, that is to say:

Commencing at a squared post fixed in the shore on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence at the Northern boundary of the land in the possession of James Currie, thence running North seventy four degrees East Sixty Eight chans, thence North five degrees West Four chains thence South Eighty five degrees West Sixty two chains and fifty links, thence South five degrees East four chains thence South Eighty five degrees West to the said shore thence Southerly along that shore to the place of commencement containing Seventy Acres of land a little more or less. Also all that other traxt of land bounded as follows Fronting on the shore of the Straits of Northumberland and situated between the side lines of farms in the possession of John McKay on the one side and Neil Shaw on the other, thence following in an Easterly direction the side lines of their farms until such reach the settlement road , containing Thirty Four acres of land a little more or less. As bounded and described in two several Indentures of Lease bearing date the Fifth day of December A.D. 1838 and the Twentieth day of March A.D. 1837 made between The Right and Honorable Viscount Melville and Lady Melville of the one part and Neil McNevin Senior and John Shaw of the second part, which said Leases are filed in the Office of the Commissioner of Crown and Public Lands which by reference thereto will more fully appear, The two several tracts of land containing One Hundred and Four acres of land a little more or less-

As delineated on the Plan of the said Lot or Township, together with all and singular the rights, privileges, easements, advantages, and appurtenances whatsoever to the said land and premises belonging, or in anywise appertaining, or therewith now or heretofore holden, used, enjoyed, to have and to hold this said Tract of Land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, hereby granted and released unto the said

his heirs and assigns, to the only proper use and behoof of the said

Neil Shaw

his heirs and assigns forever, and to no other use, intent, or purpose whatsoever, as fully, amply, and beneficially as the original grantee or grantees thereof from the Crown were possessed of the same or entitled thereunto.

In witness whereof, I, the said Donald Ferguson "The Commissioner of Public Lands" have hereunto set my hand and seal of office the Twenty Eighth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty (1880)
