Pius McLean Dear Son

I am ��.the opportunity of writing as it is raining we are all well hopeing that this may find you as it leaves me I am very hard to work this days takeing the coald from under the cave in well it is a very hard peace of work as I must dig an other well I think we will see after the stones are out and if it don�t fill in I have a good man Duncan Cant�Bill Gregory is going to come with us a few days I hope you will be able to send me a few Dollars to get this afair made up as we are very nedy of the conveniency of water your poor mother is to old to be carrying water far distance don�t fail in sending me more or less as it is very hard for me to leave here to earn any money as hay making is at hand no more at present Hopeing to hear from you soon good buy from your Father
