The following document excerpted from the 1903 Auditor General's Report will be of interest to genealogists, historians, and postal collectors/historians. This document details the costs of the Post Office on Prince Edward Island in the year preceeding June 30, 1903. It includes the salaries of railway clerks, city postal clerks, the postmaster, earnings by office and more. One might note: it also includes the costs of the winter Ice Boat mail service, and the boarding of postal clerks in Sackville during the winter of 1902/03, and a comparison of earnings, costs with the preceeding year....
