The Last Will and Testament of Archibald McKinnon, Farmer of De Sable, Township No. 29, Prince Edward Island. Herewith that I, Archibald McKinnon, being sick but perfectly sound in mind, and anxious to settle all my worldly affairs, Do hereby bequeath and will unto my oldest son, Archibald, the third part of the farm in my possession, The said third part to have seven chains front and to be situated along side the farm of Colin Holms, and I do hereby bequeath and will unto my second son Donald the remaining two thirds of the farm now in my possession being the northern portion thereof, on condition that he the said Donald my son do maintain and support his mother in a decent and comfortable manner or in such a manner as she has been heretofore accustomed to be maintained, provided nevertheless if his mother choose to leave him, for the purpose of living with any of her sons or daughters; when and so soon as such _____ ____ __ the said Donald my son is to give her one milk cow and six sheep out of the property now bequeathed unto him. I also will and bequeath unto my youngest son Lauchlan, one milk cow, to be delivered to him by my son Donald when and so soon as the same is demanded. And I further will and bequeath unto my Sons John & Dougald also my Daughters Christy, Margaret, and Flora one schilling sterling to each and all of them to be paid out of the property now bequeathed unto Donald my Son, so soon as the same is demanded.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Four.
