The Last Will and Testament of James A. McNeill (1845-1915, New Perth)

(b. ca. 1845, d. 27 September 1915)

I James A. McNeill of New Perth West in Kings County Prince Edward Island, Farmer, hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament

I give and bequeath whatever money I may have on deposit in the Savings Department of the Canada Bank of Commerce at Montague at the time of my death to my cousin Margaret McFadyen who is my housekeeper and I also give and bequeath to her the sewing machine and organ.

I bequeath to my daughter Beatrice and wife Mary Jane McNeill the sum of Two hundred dollars each to be paid to them by my brother Hamilton G. McNeill out of the homestead farm.

I devise and bequeath all my real estate and all the rest and residue of my personal estate to my brother Hamilton G. McNeill absolutely.

I appoint Caleb H. McNeill and Roland McMillan both of New Perth West executors of this my last Will and Testament.

Dated this 11th day of October A.D. 1912

Codicil to Will

I James A. McNeill of New Perth West hereby make this codicil to my last Will and testament.

I bequeath to my housekeeper Mrs. Margaret M. MacFadyen the sum of Five hundred dollars instead of the sum bequeathed to her by my will Three hundred and eighty dollars of said Five hundred dollars being now in the Bank the balance to be made up out of my estate and I hereby confirm my said will in every other respect. Dated 19th September 1915
