The following is a transcription of a copy of Daniel Machon's will, seen on microfilm F1046.8/L36, Reel #13, "PEI Land Registry Records Conveyances, Grantees Index to 1769-1872", at the New England Historic Genealogical Society Library. The will is indexed as "Liver 34, Folio 13, Date of Instrument 15 Nov 1827, Date of Registry 17 Jan 1828, Description: Last Will His Estate Real and personal to wife and family".

In the name of God Amen I Daniel Machon the Elder of Murray Harbour Prince Edward Island, Farmer being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that give it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the direction of my executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God, and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form, first I give and bequeath unto Frances my dearly beloved wife the western half of my land being one hundred acres or a little more or less adjoining the lands belonging to Mr. Henry Brehaut, the elder.

Together with my house, household furniture, beds and bedclothes, wearing apparel, Books, Book debts, my livestock with the Exceptions hereinafter mentioned and all my farming and other utensils at her own disposal by her to be possessed and enjoyed not doubting but at her Death she will dispose of the same to the best interest of my children and whom I likewise constitute and ordain my Executrix with my oldest son Daniel Executor to this my last will and Testament, the other half of my land to the Eastward I give and bequeath to my oldest son Daniel by him to be possessed and enjoyed, next I give unto my other children Viz. to Henry, William, Elizabeth, Thomas, Nancy and John one sheep each and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disavow all and every other Testaments Wills Legacies bequests and Executors by me in any wise named willed and bequeathed. Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand Seal this fifteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Twenty seven;

Signed Sealed published proclaimed and declared by the said Daniel Machon as his last Will and Testament in his presence and in the presence of each other who have hereunto subscribed our names.
