In the name of God amen I James Bishop of White Sands Lot or Township Number Sixty four in Kings County Prince Edward Island farmer being mindful of my mortality knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do this Seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following

First I give and devise to my grandson John Bishop all that my freehold land situate lying and being at White Sands on Lot or Township Number Sixty Four in Kings County in the Province of Prince Edward Island Bounded and described as follows that is to say Bounded on the South by the Strait of Northumberland on the West by land and possession of John Beck on the north by land in possession of John Machon and on the East by land in possession of Frederick White containing an area of Fifty acres of land a little more or less the same being the homestead on which I am now living. Together with all buildings rights privileges easements and advantages to the same belonging To Have and To Hold / Subject Nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with maintenance and support of my Sister Mary Ann Bishop and my daughter Ellen Bishop as hereinafter mentioned to him the said John Bishop his heirs and assigns forever.

Also I give and bequeath to my said Grandson John Bishop all my live Stock and agricultural implements to and for his own use and benefits absolutely.

Also I will and ordain that my said Sister Mary Ann Bishop and my said daughter Ellen Bishop shall have a home on the aforesaid place during their live (sic) if they choose to remain on the same and the said Mary Ann Bishop shall have the full use and control of the North West bedroom during her life and the said Ellen Bishop shall have the bedroom upstairs over the West end of the dwelling house in which I now reside during her life And the said John Bishop his heirs Executors or administrators shall and will during the natural life time of them the said Mary Ann Bishop and Ellen Bishop provide them and each of them with food and clothing and all other necessaries in sickness or in health such as it would be reasonable for them or either of them to demand or right to expect from the said John Bishop. Also I give and bequeath to my three sons namely William Bishop Thomas Bishop and Henry Bishop the sum of one dollar each and to my daughter Catherine wife of William McDougall the sum of one dollar to be paid unto them respectively within one year from my death.

And I do hereby appoint David Brooks and William Machon of White Sands aforesaid Executors of this my last will and testament

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said testator James Bishop as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

This will proved on the 13th Oct 1890 on the oath of David Brooks a subscribing witness and was filed and registered on the 3rd Nov 1890 as certified by Charles Young - Judge of Probate.
