The Last Will and Testament of John Brecken of Charlottetown Prince Edward Island made this eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six.

I hereby give and bequeath to my dear wife Laura Anne Brecken to all my right and title to all properties possessed by me to be enjoyed by her for her lifetime whether real or personal estate and at her death to be divided in the following manner --

I hereby appoint my dear wife sole executrix. I leave to my daughter Margaret Leah Mitchell the deed? of the House situate in Queen Street in First Hundred town lots - Forty Three (43) at present leased to John W. Mumford to be enjoyed by her for her lifetime and at her death the House and Land to go to my son Edward St. Croix Brecken --

I leave to my daughter Laura Edith Brecken the Home and Land situate on corner of Queen and King Street in First Hundred Town Lot No 43 (43) at present leased to Michael Duffy - Also the Homestead situate on Kent Street in Forth Hundred Town Lots No Forty one (41)

I leave to my son Edward St. Croix Brecken my House and Land situate on corner of Queen and King Street First Hundred Town Lot No Eleven (11) at present occupied by Owen Trainor.

If my son Edward should marry and die without issue this property is to go to my daughter Laura Edith Brecken and should my son Edward St. Croix Brecken predecease my daughter Margaret Leah Mitchell the house and land on Queen Street First Hundred Town Lots No Forty Three (43) is to go to my grandson John Frederick Brecken Mitchell that is if my son leaves no issue.

I also leave to my son Edward St. Croix Brecken my silver and plate.

I wish at my wife's death that all my Household Furniture, China, Glass and Cookery ware to be sold and any debts and incumbrances on the Estate to be paid off with the rents? before going to my children.

I hereby appoint Davies & Haszard my Trustees.

The within Will of John Brecken late of Charlotte Town in said Island Deceased Testate having been presented for Probate by John F. Whear Esquire one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto made oath that he was present and did see the said Testator sign his name thereto and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament that when Testator so did he was of sound disposing mind and memory according to this deponents best discerning, that he subscribed his name as a witness thereto in the presence of the said testator and that Robert J. Campbell Esq. subscribed his name as a Witness thereto at the same time. John F. Whear Sworn at Chambers in Charlotte Town in Queens County in said Island this 8th day of November A.D. 1897, before me
