Will of John McInnes of Prince Edward Island (- aft. 1882, New Glasgow)


LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN MCINNIS

Know all men by these presents that I John McINNES of New Glasgow in the County of Queens of the Island of Prince Edward, Tailor, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.

First, I give and bequeath to my wife Bridget Duffy a parcel of land containing one acre more or less situated in County of Queens of the Island of Prince Edward – also all the furniture belonging to me in the house on said parcel of land, also the house and other building situated on the said tract of land.

The aforesaid parcel of land extends from the road at the South to a parcel of land owned & occupied by Charles Stevenson on the north and from a parcel of land owned by Philip Petheck on the east to a parcel of land owned & occupied by George Nisbet on the West.

Second, I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Sarah Jane McInnes the sum of Three Hundred Dollars.

Third, I give and bequeath to my eldest son Alexander James McInnes the sum of (Five Dollars crossed out; Twenty Dollars crossed out) Fifty Dollars.

Fourth, I give and bequeath to my second daughter Auslan McInnes the sum of (Twenty Dollars crossed out) Twenty Five Dollars.

Fifth, give and bequeath to my third daughter Georgina McInnes the sum of (Thirty Dollars crossed out) Fifty Dollars.

Sixth, I give and bequeath to my youngest son Henry McInnes the residue of rest of my estate real and personal.

Seventh, I appoint Father Peter McPhee of the County of Queens of Prince Edward Island, of the parish of St. Augustin and Peter McGrath of the County of Queens of Prince Edward Island Executors of this will and testament.

In witness whereof I the said John McInnes set my hand and Seal hereunto this third day of August A.D. 1882.
