Will of John Sencabaugh of Prince Edward Island (1823-1903)


Submitter’s notes: John Sencabaugh (1823 - 1903) was the son of John Sencabaugh and his wife Mary Graham. In 1864 he married Louisa Sentner (1829 - 1929), already the mother of two children who subsequently took the Sencabaugh surname.

Thomas Sencabaugh, to whom John Sencabaugh bequeathed fifty acres in Peter’s Road, was the son of his sister Elizabeth Sencabaugh.

Filed and Registered on the Fourteenth day of March A.D. 1916

I John Sencebaugh of Murray Harbor North in Township No. Sixty-three in the Province of Prince Edward Island, farmer, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

I give and bequeath my real estate of thirty five acres in Murray Harbor North including buildings and stock to my son William Henry Sencebaugh.

I give and bequeath my real estate of Fifty acres in Peter’s Road including buildings and stock to my son John Horton Sencebaugh.

I also bequeath to Thomas Sencebaugh my real estate of Fifty acres in Peter’s Road including buildings and stock (the above fifty acres being the land that said Thomas Sencebaugh is now living on).

I also bequeath that my wife Louisa Sencabaugh, during her natural life, have a home and living of said Thirty five acres in Murray Harbor North, and also that my son James Seymour Hayden Sencebaugh, while single and unmarried, have a home on said Thirty five acres in Murray Harbor North.

I hereby appoint William Reid and George Graham to be the executors of my will.

In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this Third day of March 1897.

Real Estate consisting of one hundred and thirty five acres of land valued at $1000.00
