Will of Thomas Hyde, Parish of Charlotte, Queens County, Farmer.

1st. to well beloved daughter Ann, one cow.

2nd, to well beloved son Thomas £1/3/4d Halifax currency.

3rd, to well beloved daughter, Mary, £1/3/4d.

4th to well beloved daughter Francis, one cow.

5th to well beloved daughter Isabella, £1/3/4d.

6th, rest of estate to well beloved son, William, sole executor.

Signed 28 Jan. 1795 (91 crossed out) "and in the Thirty first year of His Majestys Reign"

"January 28th 1794- The cow mentioned in the within will to be Bequeathed to my Daughter Ann has for some time since Delivered to her.

[The reader will note that daughter, Margaret is not in the will. She was excluded from the will due to the birth of an illegitimate daughter, Ann Patterson, the daughter of then Governor Patterson.]
