Some time ago, Eldon Sentner approached me about putting abbreviated obituaries in the newsletter for those who had passed away during the week, and which appeared in Island newspapers. I have long wanted to do this, but lacking a volunteer until now, it was too time consuming to do myself. Eldon volunteered, and this is the result.

We have a request from Eldon. If any of you see an obituary for an islander who was living "away" from the Island or who has an Island connection, we would appreciate it if you could pass it along to Eldon at daleandeldon@eastlink.ca so that it might be included in this listing. Thanks!

These are death notices from local newspapers and other sources for period PRIOR to February 2005. The main period for them will be Jan 2004 - January 31, 2005. They will be going on alphabetically. There will be no Funeral Home listed as they are not still on their website. If you have a name of interest send a email to Eldon even before it appears on the listings as it is going to be a VERY Slow process.
